Job Title: Junior Archivist 
Location: Genting Highlands
Employment Type: Full-Time (12 months contract with possible extension)
 
Job Summary:
We are looking for someone who will assist Genting Malaysia Berhad in cataloguing, organizing, and digitising archival materials related to their corporate history. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to gather historical information, documents, photographs, videos, and other materials related to the project.
  • Organize, classify, and catalogue the archival materials in a systematic manner, employing appropriate archival standards and practices.
  • Create and maintain databases, digital records, and physical filing systems to ensure the efficient organization and retrieval of archival materials.
  • Implement preservation techniques to protect and maintain the integrity of the collection.
  • Collaborate with researchers and historians to facilitate access to archival materials.
Who we are looking for:
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of archival principles, practices, and standards.
  • Proficient in conducting research and utilizing various archival resources, databases, and tools.
  • Familiarity with digitization processes and digital preservation techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate cataloguing and preservation of archival materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • Passion for cultural heritage preservation and a keen interest in history.
  • Ability to be part of a committed team and work independently with minimal supervision.
